    Aup!!

Hello one and all! I found this forum/site while doing some research for my next (secret lol) project. I dont own an Audi, and never have, but I am planning on in the not too distant future. I'm currently finishing off my first project - a 1972 MGB GT with a 3.9l twin turbo V8 which I've pretty much rebuilt from the ground up. Got the wiring to finish and pipework to do then it should be running (famous last words lol). There'll still be work to do on it after than like suspension mods etc, but soon as its up and running I'm moving on to the next project. . .

Anyway, hope to be on here a fair bit, already been reading up on members current projects and I'm very impressed!

    cheers

    chod.

here are some shots of the engine bay. Not showing the outside of the car as its rat-look and needs a respray lol (matt black though so looks mean!). My fave bit is the carbon fibre plenum (no change from £1k for that!!!!).

Its a standard 3.9 Rover V8 (next year I'm going for 4.4 with forged internals to push 400bhp hopefully) producing about 320bhp. Group A TWR sump, Stage 3 heads, TVR manifold, bigger injectors, Megasquirt & Megajolt, janspeed manifolds, Rotomaster turbos giving about 7psi, Cossy intercooler, and lots of custom bits! Hope you like

Radiator cowl, drag breather system etc. This is mock up of how it will look.

back of the car with track spec fuel system (all done by myself). Can just about see the custom dash I've made using the original 1968 dash and using fibreglass for proper hot-rod styleee!

Aye not bad for a car 10yrs older than me!

AER? For boost control I have two external wastegates mounted under the manifolds. They are linked, via the plenum, to a manual boost controller (bleed valve basically). I've gone that way because even with the new forged engine next year, I'll probably never go past 1 bar; it will only be running half a bar Max with the current set up, and also because I can't afford a posh boost controller. I've not gone for all out power, this is a fun/track car, and besides, giving it some beans it does about 4mpg lol, shoulda bought shares in Shell!!
