    New S2 coupe owner... hello

Hi, after months of looking for the right car and a 1000 mile round trip from scotland down south, finally got my hands on an ABY S2 coupe just thought I would introduce myself as this forum seems to have a lot of people who can provide me with the answers and advice I'm gonna be asking for in the future!

Some pics of my new toy.........

    Cheers!

Yeah, totally standard, and the tidyest one I looked at.... Really nice interior too, not leather, but very clean and smells like a new car... See myself keeping it forever!

        Cheers, Alan

Looks a really nice example, though watch out for water leaks on the aux radiator, fins look like they have seen (much) better days. They aren't cheap but these cars will live happily enough without them, or a new one is about £150 IIRC.

          Cheers

Good looking example - looks just like mine
Nice to see another standard one - if it's only done 84000 miles it's been worth the wait.

Cheers guys - I'm aware the aux radiator may be a problem and you're right, there are already a couple of small leaks. Hopefully this is going to be repairable by a friend of mine, if not then a new one it is. You're right prob could run without, but this car is gonna want for nothing.........

ps currently sporting an S6 badge on the grill, apparently the S2 ones are no longer available? Anyone know where I could get one from?

@nesshead - that looks lovely - wish my tired old paint was that fresh looking. Looks like a seriously good find... Even if its been resprayed to get into that condition - its pretty simple to keep it looking as nice as that versus the pain of paint correction you'd expect on most cars that age.

Seriously though - the last time I saw an auxrad in that condition - was when mine burst with the car stationary on my driveway... I had just walked past front of car to open the garage. If you don't have money for a new one - fear not... Get two sections of 25mm alloy bung to block the two pipes and throw the old one in the bin. No detriment to cooling in the UK climate - actually you'll find improved airflow over the engine with it removed.

or buy a 7a hose and you'll have an elegant solution to deleting the aux radiator

Emerald I think she is... looks like a shinier version of mine when I can be arsed to wash it !

Ragusa is a bit more rare - lots darker - I prefer it actually.
