    Time to introduce myself.

My name is Patrick and I'm from The Netherlands.

I'm active on this forum for quite a while now, but never bothered to introduce myself.

I've had Audi's since I was 14 (had to wait 4 years before I could get my drivers license though)

It started with a Coupe GT 2.0 from '85, sold it when I bought a 90 quattro type 85 and then the other Audi's were following quickly. I'm a huge type 81/85 fan so that explains the list a bit

    1. Audi coupe GT 2.0 sold
    2. Audi 90 quattro type 85 sold
    3. Audi 90 type 81 2.0 sold
    4. Audi S2 coupe parted
    5. Audi coupe GL 1.8 sold
    6. Audi 100 S4 parted
    7. Audi 90 quattro
    8. Audi coupe S2
    9. Audi cabrio 1.8 20V sold
    10. Audi 90 Turbodiesel type 81 currently parting
    11. Audi 80 1.6 type 81 sold
    12. Audi 200 T type 44
    13. Audi 80 CD 2.2 now
    14. Audi coupe quattro 2.2 type 85 has to be picked up yet

Bought the S2 with a non working engine due to a failed crank sprocket, took the head off and luckily there was no further engine damage

Replaced about every sensor on the engine, put a metal head gasket in it and a RS2 EM. Car started in the first attempt after all was re-assembled.

And it went onto the rollers yesterday with a very satisfying (is that the word?) result

Will take more pictures later one, and will try to find some pics of the other cars

    again

Nice result there, what's the spec on the S2 then?

Satisfying is exactly the right word

Smells like a chipped K24 with a few toys to me

Well not that much 'toys' mate no cats, RS2 EM, 250 kPa sensor with chip (sort of homefry). It's a 3B btw.

I'm really pleased with the curve aswell, nice and smooth

not that much response here huh

Well did some little things last weekend, replaced the boost gauge from center console to the passenger side dash panel (it was damaged anyway, hence the RS2 emblem to cover it) put 3 original white face gauges in place because one was knackered.
And put a new 'bomb' and leather gear knob in from CAC.

Then I went for a short run and made some vids. I don't know why it wouldn't go faster than 265 km/h ?

                    thx. Chris

The S2 is a nice car to drive, but I can't wait to get started with my 90 quattro project

Hey Partick, nice to see you made an into thread on here.
I like the boost gauge location. Was that hard to do?

                        I won't forget it mate

It wasn't hard to put the boost gauge there, I bought a 7-hole saw (translated right from the dutch word) but it was meant for wood. I didn't know there was a metal plate in the dash panel and the dash itself. So that didn't work very well.

But in the workshop where I'm working on the cars every weekend I opened a closet and there was a 51 mm hole saw for metal went trough both pieces within a minute, made the rough edges a bit smoother and the gauge went straight in. It's very nice and tight didn't even have to secure it at the back

Here is a picture of the equipment needed: http://www.soer.nl/shop/images/Gatenzaag9Dlg160.JPG

Good result on the rollers there, cars looking good

I have the same DTM type tailpipes i'm desperate to change to - might take a 9" angle grinder to them before i refit my back box
