Adding +1 Irish S2 owner as of today.

Hi everybody, been lurking here for so long I feel like its about time I introduce myself, and on no better occasion than on the day I get my S2.

My name is Eric, from southern Ireland, been driving Audis for about 12 years (current runner is a A6 2.5TDI), always wanted an S2, but these last few months I have been looking for one. After a long, very long search, I got myself a good solid '95 (originally an N plate) S2 ABY, 6 Speed with Leather + aircon.

But its been off the road for a while, so needs a bit of work to put right, but I am happy to do it.

So here is a big Hi from me, and looking forward to contributing to the community.

Nice. Any mods other than the wheels? Got mine about a month ago, same as yours. Was determined to leave it completely standard... Bigger IC already on order though, thinking about a chip too... ah well as long as it looks standard!!

Well, a lot of today was spent travelling with the S2 on a transporter as I didnt want to drive that distance with the car idle for as long as it was, so I didnt get a chance to check what other goodies may have found their way onto the S2. Judging by the paperwork I have I dont think much has been done other than repairs/service over the years.

Tomorrow is a bank holiday : S2 discovery day

There is a list of have-to's.

1: Pulling to right under breaking / steering wheel is not centred when wheels are straight ahead, but nothing bent, so I think someone messed up alignment.

2: Timing belt has to be changed. + Full service

3: Small chip in windscreen, crack in lense left side spot light NCT failure for both

Once it gets NCT I will see then. Really want to go down the chip / IC and maybe a nice exhaust system.

Welcome, nice car, photos straight away are always welcome.

Post any problems you encounter as someone's always BTDT with these cars.

Assuming everything is fine as the factory intended, a chip should be your first thoughts with a front brake upgrade, but take your time and enjoy it as it is, they're great standard also.

There's a couple of members on this side of the water on here also.
