newbie with an S2 Avant

hey there,

just got my hands on an 1995 S2 Avant, and am totally smitten with it.i believe thats the ABY engine. Its certainly a step up form a g60 Corrado, i loved that car too, but this is something completely different.

its a lovely car to drive, although i haven't driven it as much as i like so far but there is plenty of time for that, but i've taken it around town and a little burn up the country roads north of me.

Its a standard setup, with no exterior mods or fancy exhaust and I'd like to keep it this way for a time. The biggest regret i had with my last car was i uprated everything all to quickly, and don't feel as if i really appreciated it for what it was. This car is a great sleeper and its a great feeling knowing that the power is just a little prod of the peddle away esp when you get some fool tailgating you.


just a quick question, i sometimes get a little hesitancy when i change from first into second? is that normal?

anyway, not gonna go to much off topic, just wantde to say hello!

Nice looking car, could be a small boost leak that you have (andyp on here sells boost leak test kits)

one thing you'd probably want to do is uprate the brakes as most people have found the standard g60's to be a bit rubbish under harsh continued braking.

then speak to s2central about a homefries, cheapest upgrade you'd probably find for the car.

in the meantime dest on here would be interested in knowing the reg to see if its on his s2 avant register.
