Hi

I'm new on this forum and would like to show my type 89 coupe

It started its life as a 20v 7a and is now a 3b with rs2 spec running 034 efi

some pics





Car was running motronic but it keept having troubles with it. so I bought a 034 efi and started to upgrade the engine as well..

The specs are as follow.

3 engine
Rs2 turbo and EM
7a cams
Bigger IC
55lbs injectors
7a gearbox
arp head studs




REmoved the motronic loom along with some other things like ISV and Knock sensors, things the new ecu didn't have support for, and i saved some much needed weight
400grams maybe

Not to happy with it..

I'm running a IIb unit, Maybe the IIc is a far better Efi but I'm trying to sell mine and go for a Link/vi-pec unit insteed of firmware upgrading my IIb to IIc.

but that is just my upinion, partly because of some runnings into with 034 support, and when i get link/vipec for less then 034 efi, the choise is easy

But installing a IIB was really easy, just had to play a round with the base fuel setting and i fired right away

vi-pec is the same as link, Ray hall that used to work for autronic sells the link ecu under vipec, with some mods to the software,

the good things are that they support the 135 audi trigger and have autotune

I going for a link extreme, running msd blaster

The prices I got quoted in sweden was 16K sek, included mapsensor

Very nice, love the colour. I think it is the same as mine, but I didnt think they did it in the B4 shape, where did you get the hood/bonnet from?

I think my colour is cayenne rot(red).

Isn't mine a b3 coupe? with s2 bonnet?

All coupes are b3 any b4 80 bonnet will fit as their all the same.
