Well done on making it on here. As I said in my email there are plenty of guys on here who can offer advice/assistance. I look forward to seeing it when it's done.

Well it seems donor parts are easier to come by than ever of late - loads of good cars being dismantled recently. Welcome on board Cory - a V8 Cabrio with quattro would certainly be 'interesting' - that rumbling sound coupled to the almighty grip of quattro and with the top down too - in a prettier package than the slightly dull looking B7 Cabrio. Good luck.

Look forward to seeing updates from this, i've just been fitting the prop back on the s2 convertible in my lockup and I also know of someone with a v6 twin turbo in a cab.

Which V8 are you using? you can get a s6 manual flywheel from TPS or I know a man who will make a custom one if you need it, I'll dig out the details.

Hi im using an ABZ from an A8 its not the most powerfull but i plan a few mods once its fitted.mind you going from 115 bhp to 300 plus should be ok i guess. It cost me next to nothing as i sold all the other A8 parts that i didnt need.Good luck with yours too.Quattro converting a cabriolet is going to take some work though but what the hell it will be worth it.

no to convert a cab to quattro does not need a lot of work, around a days work max if you know what to do.

As soon as I get 5 mins to have a look in the next week or so I will be doing it on mine so I'll keep you posted. Last time I spoke to pete he said that if you use coilovers on the rear there is no need to alter the suspension turrets

Yup you have to use them as full size quattro shocks won't fit they are too big.

custom coilovers or kw's etc are whats needed, i'm having mine done currently.

Hi Corey, here are a few pics and measurements to help you out. It's not quite as straight forward as once thought.

I have measured from the top of shock towers to the the bottom of the chassis rails on both cars it's 17 1/2 inches on the S2 and 14 inches on the cabby and the diameter of the shock towers is quite different. You will not be able to use the S2 legs as they will foul putting the roof away which defeats the object.
See the picture inside where the hood sits.
