Hi,
Having just bought two Audi S2's in South Africa, which is no mean achievement as there are not many of them around.
One is almost complete but needs finishing off. It has spent the last 6 years being repaired and the owner gave up on the project. Engine had to be rebuilt and we bought the car from a reputable garage that does race car rebuilds.
Came with an OE RS2 front bumper, fitted with a full set of lights.
Second vehicle was an empty shell with all glass and 4 wheels. The intention is to sand blast the body and respray before fitting a Audi V8 (4.2) engine, tip gearbox. Have a complete Audi A8 that was written off in an accident. So as many parts as possible from the A8 will be used.
Will see if rear diff can be modified to accept V8 crown wheel and pinion so that we can retain the diff lock.
Radiators are required for both cars and these will be made in RSA. Main problem is the windscreens for both cars as they are expensive from the local agents, and the dash board, which needs to be swapped from LHD to RHD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Will keep you posted as we progress but full details of the projects will be published on my website with the view to attracting buyers for the first car. Hope to keep the V8 conversion.
Now I have some more reading to do on previous posts.
Regards
Ryss
