Late introduction hello all

Hello All,
I signed up an account a couple of years ago when I bought my '95 s2 coupe in Chelmsford. She's a one owner and in good condition. Due to changing jobs shortly after she's been garaged until recently. I've been researching so many "how to" guides on this site and felt it appropriate to say thanks. The effort you guys have put in really makes it relatively easy to tackle these beautiful machines.
I'm based in Westmeath (in the middle of Ireland), I hope that i can make some useful input to the site as I progress into getting this machine back on the roads.
The plan at the moment is to get her running as a daily driver however I think Paul you can be expecting a PM about some of those well respected fries

Welcome to the forum shane. I have just made mine the daily driver again, so I have been busy sorting out a few niggly issues and def enjoying driving it as the main car again.

thanks Greg, needless to say I have a few niggles (that i know about) 1. alternator seized and now reconditioned, 2. the exhaust has been there nearly 15 years and needs changing, 3. New battery needed, 4. Oil cooler leaking & usual ancillary parts around that, 5. MFTS needs either a few taps or needs replacement, 6. o/s wing rusted through at the bumper mounting, 7. and the cambelt and all the usual bits there too.

then there's the list of possible upgrades the length of my arm once she's driving. hopefully I'll get to make a project thread to cover the niggles at least. Exciting times to be honest... my insurance is up in january so I have a target

Cool, looking forward to your threads on getting this back on the road. Got my coupe on the road as a daily in september (after approx 2 years idle) , been a blast since.

thanks for encouragement, is yours on the road? Have you a coupe too? I wonder has anybody ever done a survey here of what cars are over this side?

Daily for almost 12 months now! 142k - 160k and enjoyed everyone. Minor boost leaks, RS2 front shocks, new sun-roof glass and windscreen replacement so far.
New wheels, tyres, leather interior and 996 front upgrade coming soon before a wee trip to see Mr. Nugent!!!
You, me, IrishS2, macandmar, David in Dublin x 2 and Mr. Nugent of course. Probably a couple of others floating about the north but not seen any on the forum.
Looked at one in Lisburn before going over to pick up mine, not sure if he still has it though.
Keep in touch and definately worth getting her going, dying breed!

Ireland Meet

Could be a good idea to think about an "Ireland Meet" for sometime in spring summer 2010, any initial interest??

Sounds like a plan Shane, maybe south midlands (Portlaoise/Tullamore) as Irishs2 has a little way to travel!
BTW mines a '95 Coupe Emerald Green no modes yet, although Dyno showed 240 bhp so may have a stronger than OEM Wastegate spring?

Somebody had a kingfisher blue s2 coupe up in carrick on shannon a few years back too, that's the only one I've seen on the road over here.

I'm sure a meet could be on the cards so, excellent.
