    rs2 crankshaft damper

can anybody help me, i have an rs2 which is having an engine rebuild, and have had the crankshaft damper removed, to do this the nut on the shaft had to be heated up which in turn seperated the two metal sections of the crankshaft damper, on cooling the two sections seem tight and true once more, so my question is do i put this damper back on, try and get a second hand one (which would probably look exactly like mine, but dont know the history of it), or buy a new one. Any suggestions or advise will be gratefully received, as would any suppliers phone numbers. Hector

I'd replace it or get it rebuilt. Someone posted a link to a company that rebuilds harmonic balancers recently.
