    Hello from me :)

G'day chaps. I'm new round these 'ere parts.

I will be checking in to see useful threads about the project i've landed myself.

I'm from Ashford, in Kent. Anyone local?

Some may have seen my nice new shiney (haha) car that I ended up buying on eBay one night after a few shandies. (the first I really knew about it, was the email the next day saying that I was now the highest bidder - err, what? )

http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42780 - there is the thread that some have commented on.

I have just got the car delivered to myself, so thought i'd do an introduction, now that i'm an actual Audi owner.

Yes it looks just as bad in real life!

My original intention was to turn it into a nice daily driver. I've since got over that plan, as I bought an E46 BMW (sorry) to fill that role. So now the Audi is going to join my Nissan as a track weapon, with modifications to support that. I don't have any pictures of the car as yet, as it's raining outside and, well, basically it looks *****

So, instead of this post being all text, I thought i'd put some pictures up of my other cars, until I can put something relevant in here!

I've recently stripped and sold Nissan 1: This had a 1UZFE V8 from a Lexus pushed into it, over a period of many years, but after finishing it, I decided I didn't like it anymore It had 297bhp and 310lb/ft from an N/A V8 with very mild mods.

The replacement for that, another S13, but this time all complete that I can just start enjoying again. Lands on Tuesday in Southampton. This one is above 400bhp and should be a laugh

This is the newly bought daily. Have plopped some HSD coilovers on it, and dropped the wheels from horrible 18s, to some nicer 17s. The running theme for my cars is generally very low on nice wheels.

Anyway, enough of that crap, the plan for my S2 is to strip out the interior, rollcage it, coilover it, track wheel it, paint it!!! and get her up and running well.

One thing that I need to look into, the chap I bought it from, claims that it has an RS2 turbo on it. From the cursory glance around the engine bay that I have had, there are indeed aftermarket boost pipes down that end of the bay. Are there any tell-tales to let me know if it is or is not a RS2 turbo?

    Cheers,
    Steve

An RS2 turbo quite often has a blue plate on it with K24 7200 on it.

            Snapped some pictures today...

Isn't she pretty? Haha. Anyway, we replaced the fuel pump with a non-broken one, but the car still didn't start. So ran the pump up directly off a jump-pack, and she fired up! 6 years of sitting around and it's happily running on my drive It needs new radiators and hoses as they've packed up, but happy days, I wasn't expecting that

Could anyone possibly tell me where the vac hose should be connected to from the external gate? Mine has gone!

Ducky, you must have something to do with either F1Moto or Powerspeed

Thanks chaps for the welcome. Once things start properly moving I will do a project thread.

Yeah I started taking some bits out this afternoon, but have since stopped as it's cold, dark and orrible

Where the car is at the moment makes things difficult to get inside the car to take bits out, so i've only glanced at how to remove stuff. Just wondering the best way to get the rear seats, seatbelts etc out - pretty sure it's some bolts underneath the bench seat, but mine are rusted alot, so I sort of looked but didn't touch!

Edit - Have seen your thread update, thanks man

Two philips screws at the front of the bench to remove from memory, then just lift forward and up. Seatbelts are bolted in under the bench.

A fair amount of sound insulation over the whole car, under carpet, inside door cards, big sheet on top of fuel tank etc. There is a couple of threads on lightweight coupe projects/lightening, worth a search/read.
