    Fresh Meat

    Good day all,

I am very new to this site. I have been longing to join in on the Audi scene. I have a dream which I think I can afford within this next month... I have seen some great Audi's on this forum...Well done to you all.
I am wanting to source a Audi 80 Cabriolet b4 as well as a RS2 engine, gearbox and quattro drive-train. I think that you know where this is going. Kim Collins has the experience and I want to act like a "mad scientist" by dropping the RS2 mods into the cabriolet.
Any and all help from you experienced guys would be awesome in achieving this goal.
Lastly just another shout out to you all whom have inspired this dream of mine, through all your meticulous vehicles!

Looking forward to all the feedback.

I gather that you had the red S2 cabriolet... Very nice motor!
Any pointers for me trying to drop the RS2 engine etc into a cabriolet?

I am starting to hunt for the perfect final edition cabrio, which will form the basis to develop this dream.:mischeif:

What have you got to replace the ol' motor then?

I think you mean my red s2 cab lol. Good luck with the build, i can highly recommend it. Id have a good read up on the advantages of an rs lump over a good aby s2 lump with mods. On paper it doesnt realy make financial sense. Mine was built for the original owner with an s6 aan lump and loom but ive now got a complete late spec s2 thatll ill be using as a donor to rebuild the cab with.
Are you based in the uk? If i can help at all just drop me a pm.

        Heres my build thread.

        Cheers

Many thanks for your valued feedback... I reckon that I will definitely take you up on your offer for advise.
I am based in Milton Keynes, UK. My neighbour, whom retired from McClaren as a former R and D engineer last year, is helping me through the project. Very excited about what we can develop together... Watch this space guys.

Thanks for the link to all the relevant threads guys, I am all over them (have been for several months).

Second project worth thinking about from us, is the bi-turbo V6 2.8lt cabrio with quattro system. So many videos around on Youtube... Great motors which will hold in the future...Mostly in the EU though!

My mates currently running a fwd bi-turbo cab in london on standalone management putting out about 350bhp thru the front wheels, he was looking around the cab shell a while ago about quattro'ing his.
