    newbie from dorset

    hello all
i have been into vedubs for around 12 years and thought it was about time for a change i was going to buy a clio 172 or williams but couldnt bring myself to do it then in a moment of madness started looking at fords but moment passed lol and last night while looking for another mk1 golf i come accross and audi s2 coupe i fall for it in the pictures and after a quick phone call later i was on my way to bournmouth had a look around the car and 2k later was on my way home its a standard car in good condition (few pin dents and minor bit on the wing) it pulls very well and im really impressed with it so far im not going to do much to body apart from sort out the few minor issues wheels ect im keeping as there look sweet just need polishing. interior is very tidy being retrimmed in 2008 and the engine i might get some work done but im not looking at a race car so just looking at minor mods (open to suggestions) its running at 256bhp already

Welcome along. As Ken said with the mods all very good ideas but you are best off with the bigger brakes first before any power mods. I cooked my brakes on standard power.

        Pictures speak a thousand words.....

Good luck with your project you might think of it been a project but it will turn into one.

Had my eye on that one myself. No matter, well done on your purchase mate .
I think, from reading the forums, if your going to do the big brakes, you'll need to change the wheels because they wont fit under the early rims. You're in the right place though, there are plenty of knowlegeable folks on here who'll keep you right( and possibly cost you a fortune!).

Brake calipers talk to Ken(Le s2 Audi) and he will help you out with the rest of the kit you need.
Air filter go for a replacement K&N panel filter don't bother with the big filters as they kill the power with heat soak.

BTW that one nice car for the money, the interior is superb.

I went to look at that from falmouth in cornwall.
Got as far as bodmin before my wipers packed up on my passat and i had to sit beside the a30 for an hour and a half waiting for mr aa man to ghetto fix them.

                I was not impressed!

Good luck with it mate, had a long chat with the owner on sunday night, sounds like a right goodun
