A tidy car will sail thru an MOT... though tis odd the owner didnt bother to do that for an easier sale... maybe insurance had lapsed or something.Paul Nugent

From what I understand, no insurance and road tax has lapsed too. It's been sat around for 18 months apparently, so hopefully that won't throw any issues up.
Lovely car by the sounds of it, but you never know until you collect it.EX S2 ABY owner, now driving a BMW E39 530D manual & a MK1 Golf GTi called 'Hattie'

There are various subtle and not so sutble differences between a 3B and an ABY but IMHO, ABY always, but don't want to start anything on the forum, just my opionion based on what I've learnt and read on here.
Others may or may not express an opinion.
ABYs are newer / not as old and while a little dearer are worth the extra expense.
This issue has come up a good few times before, so have a search around and decide for yourself.

Congratulations on buying my old car
Drop me an email - phil@buscevents.com if you have any questions. When I sold her, I had put 12k on the clock (87 - 99k) and that was in Sept 2008.
S2 Central.net was the man who did the ECU chip, I bought the black porker front calipers from Goodwood FOS (Carerra 2 being broken for a race car) in July 2007 and I got the Wheels from someone in Leicester. I can tell you where all the rust is too
Phil...ever since I floored you I knew that I loved you!Comment
