Hello,

Recently joined upto the forum as i'm looking for a S2 Avant for a project/restoration.

I've been lurking on the classic audi forum for a while and they suggested i have a look over here, i must say theres some stunning examples and a wealth of knowledge.

i've been enjoying cars since i was 14, my first being a classic mini which i rebuilt with my dad from the ground up, i then moved onto a 205 GTI 1.6 which was my first real car i took out on the road after i past my test, brilliant car and bullitt proof, taught me alot about mechanics and driving.

I then moved onto a mini cooper (53 plate) then too an st24 mondeo, again brilliant car but lacking power for such a big engine, then came another 205 GTI 1.9 and now i'm on a scirroco (11 plate).

I've got a classic mini which is mid restoration but i'm itching to get hold of an avant.

I'll post up an ad in the wanted section shortly, could be waiting a while to find i would have thought.

Chris,

They are coming up quite frequently now, restoration projects tend to need a bit more body work doing now if you get them cheap. Would be good to see some details on the mini project too

Yes hopefully, i've had a couple of replies to my wanted thread, just waitng on some info from a forum member regarding a rolling shell he knows of.

I'll get some info up regarding the mini.
