Introduction to S2's

Hi guys,

I'm looking to move over to an S2 (preferably an Avant) from driving BMW E30's for the past eleven years. Ready to buy now.

I'm based near Ely, Cambridgeshire and I'm ideally looking to meet up with a member of this forum for a chat and to familiarise myself with an S2.

Is anyone local to me?

320is - nice and very rare

Having owned both at the same time (318is), they're rather different! Don't expect any tail out lairiness but do expect very useable performance in all weathers,where you'd be waiting for the E30 to bite! You'll need to change your driving style to get the best from an S2 - the coupe is like a big hot hatch but the avant is a bit more sober.

That is Very, very nice!

I've had a 325i sport I preferred it over an S2

You do more of the driving, whereas an S2 Is really refined- drives itself pretty much, useful I suppose though at 154mph

Someone's mentioned jonnybravo indeed he is a top man and helped me loads with mine!

As for your e30, the only thing I don't like about it is the price! Good luck finding your S2 and selling the e30

Hi !! I would love to drive this but takes me a while to adjust to LHD cars- did they ever make these RHD ?? Any idea of the BHP/ Torque ?

Very nice E30 and the poor man M3 the 320IS only sold in Italy and Portugal because of the cm3 taxation but almost as fast as the original M3 except for the bulging bodywork.......very nice indeed!
