New S2 owner from Scotland

Hello everyone,

I've been a member for a while and last week purchased an S2! After looking for many months and considering a few cars i was beginning to lose hope i'd find what i was after.

However, after a 7 hour car/bus/train journey to view the car, i hoped it would be as good as it appeared in the advert. It was and the owner was a top bloke as well. If i can look after it as well as he has, i'll be happy.

So far the forum has been a great place to find out about these cars. Now i own one, it will be an invaluable source for looking after one.

Anyway, some photos in the coming days when i've given her a wash.

Thanks everyone. The cars a coupe and a little bit special, as you'll see from the photos. I'm near Perth, hopefully i can make it to some meetings in future.

There is a Craig who posts here (Kre8g?) who is from Perth as well.

Here is a link to a engine bay device map, originally done for the AANs in the C4 UrS4/S6 but applies a lot to the 3B and especially the ABY S2s (and ADU RS2s). All the labels are hyperlinks to info about the engine devices. It will come in handy.

I think a few of you will recognise the car?

This is my first Audi and i'm impressed so far. To begin with i was looking for a completely standard example, but the more i thought about it, i would probably end up doing a few upgrades. So i was on the lookout for one with this already done and leave the few standard ones alone. This has nearly all the mods i was looking for - front brakes upgraded, boost gauge, remapped 275hp at wheels. It is also ABY black with black leather

The only thing i am considering doing at some point is a new exhaust as it is very quiet. Not wanting anything too loud, but i need to hear the 5 cylinder more.

Do most owners do basic service themselves? Or take it to a garage? I've done the basics on cars before. Thanks for all the comments so far and let me know what you think of the car.
