@Macspring: I`am not sure, but i think that the Cabrio Pump pumps in another direction than the A4 Pumps. You have to change the pump direction with an tester... Its easier with an A4 Pump.

To the Central locking system... Till 1996 AUDI built Infrared - controlled Fernbedienung to open the Car without Key. The Problem was the range. Only a few metres worked the infrared.
At modell year 1997 (middle of 1996) AUDI A6 C4, A4 B5, A8 D2 etc. were produced with radio controlled Fernbedienung. The Range is higher and it was with a cool foldkey
