Hey all, greetings from the US of A! I've been an audi head for the past couple years now and have finally had the opportunity to do some serious upgrades to my US spec 91 90Q through unfortunate circumstances. I'm currently working on fitting a turbo setup onto my 7A, as of now here's the setup I'll be going to run: K26 turbo, 3B IM, 034 7A injectors, AAN EM and wastegate, 3B head with coolant manifold, 7A short block, MLS headgasket (not sure if I'll drop the cr yet), modded 3B downpipe, 7A ECU with 034 RIP chip. There's a link to my project thread in my sig below, I mainly have been on motorgeek prior to this, but with all the info on the 20vt engines on here it seemed like joining would be a good idea. Nice to meet y'all and CHEERS!

The AAN exhaust manifold PN is 034129587M which is the same as the 3B and ABY EMs. While likely easily and cheaply available, the AAN/3B/ABY exhaust manifold is not the ticket to much more than 300 reliable HP. You are better to go with an RS2 EM or RS2 clone EM or better yet, the Wagner Engineering RS2 EVO EM.
Here is some exhaust manifold reading for you:

Why are you going to run 7A injectors? Do they even fit the 3B intake manifold? If they are equivalent to stock 7A injectors, they likely won't flow enough to make much decent HP. Even the AAN/ABY stock injectors are pretty well maxxed out at about 280 hp. Here is some injector info: http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/20441.phtml
Why the K26 turbo? Lack of oil and water lines? Otherwise, a K24-7000 or K24-7200 (RS2) or K24-7400 (Volvo) might be better. Here is some K24 info:

Currently I'm aiming pretty low with my hp goals probably around 220 crank would be nice for now. The injectors are 034's upgraded injectors for the 7A engine, which they use on they're 7A turbo kit, I think they recommend upgrading once you reach around 250 hp crank. They will fit into the OEM 3B fuel rail, that I know for sure. I actually was running a 3B intake with the bag o snakes EM for awhile, unfortunately that was short lived as I hit a deer a month or so back going 65 mph. Luckily it didn't do severe damage to the body, however it did snap the timing belt and bent 4 valves. That's how I started thinking about putting the turbo on since everything was apart anyways..... So long story short, I'm just trying to get the car back up and running for now, thus my use of cheapish/readily available parts. But yeah, I really don't have any rhyme or reason for using the K26 (it is water cooled though) and looking back a K24 off an MC2 would have probably been a better fit, but this is what I found for cheap. Why are you going to run 7A injectors? Thanks for the links BTW, good info to bookmark. Eventually I do plan on building a more sophisticated engine with higher power goals but I figured this will at least get me into the world of tuning turboed engines (I'm a noob when it comes to engine tuning)... and I wouldn't feel to bad if something went wrong on this engine.
This was my NA setup.

Hi there and welcome! Good luck with your project. I live in the Scottish Highlands and hitting deer is all too common-my CQ has hit and killed two (not stags obviously)..think my Scorpion exhaust note is appealing to them as they dive out in front of this car all the time..but (and here's fingers crossed) they don't seem to react the same to my S2, praise be!!

Thanks and greetings, sorry to hear about luck with deer as well. It's weird how they react differently to exhaust notes like that, I had a supertrapp on my motorcycle and I swear that was one of the only times I saw the deer actually turn around when I was approaching. Of course that could have been because it was pretty loud to... That's cool about the S2 though, guess the turbo must create some kind of harmonic they don't like..... Hope it'll work as good for moose to, those guys are the real nightmares where I'm at, the pacific northwest.Hi there and welcome! Good luck with your project. I'm a little inland, I'm up in the panhandle of Idaho, real close to eastern Washington. I'm only about 90 miles from Canada, so it's not the Napoleon dynamite version of Idaho. Lol.US spec 91 audi 90Q: going quasi S2

A couple hours north, pretty much a straight shot east across from Spokane, WA. I know a couple audi heads in the area, but the community isn't real big up here. Would be cool to shoot down there once my cars back together and meet up. I'd really like to find an AWD dyno.... I hear there's a place down by Portland, OR that a lot of the audi guys recommend for tuning and what not. BTW what part of Canada are you in?US spec 91 audi 90Q: going quasi S2
