well took delivery of her on Saturday and i am quite pleased with it.

We have been having some warmer weather and i notice that the intake does get considerably hot in the stock location so im considering the reverse intake manifold mod sooner rather than later... possibly with some water/meth injection to further bring down the temps.
Also i did notice that my temp gauge always stays below 90 degrees (especially when coasting) and im putting that down to the larger aluminium radiator coupled with the original aux radiator.

i have done some searching on the forum and found some different scenarios but i still have a couple questions:

    1. Is there any benefit in running only the one radiator and deleting the front mount aux radiator? obviously its lighter and better airflow into the engine, but being in Australia we can get temps in summer around 40 degrees. Obviously i would naturally drive to the conditions in warmer weather. Thoughts?

    2. what are peoples opinions on a reverse intake manifold vs. water/meth injection with standard intake? the cheaper option would be water/meth injection however i think a lot more gains with the shorter intake benefit of the reverse intake would far exceed just WM injection. Or maybe both? Doesn't seem a lot of people go the WM injection on here.

Just thought i would bump this thread incase anyone missed my questions above.

        Anyone have any thoughts?
I like the idea of the wagner intake and IC but its pricey......

Also anyone removed the aux radiator in warmer climates with no ill affect?
I think my temp sensor may be shot as coasting around the temp doesnt lift past 70-80 and only gets to just below 90 when in light traffic... im hoping this may just be to the uprated aluminium radiator....

          Any photos ?

Very briefly, imho, leave the auxilary radiator in place for your climate. Change to a new dealer supplied thermostat.

If you have the budget, change to a Wagner intercooler, and matching front inlet intake, as a start to the mods.

          Chip it with Prj.

Then get to know the car before you go mad with further changes.

          Read lots on here.

As above I would leave the aux rad in place, however with the ally rad you might well be fine - you could always remove it and blank off the hoses, see how you get on. But seeing as you've had what 40+deg recently, have AC and are running more boost that's a lot of cooling required there.

Car looks lovely. What are those strips on the front bumper? Get rid of them!

I forgot to say this morning, that you shouldn't have to take it easy in the car on a hot day because you are concerned that it might overheat.

That was one of the reasons I think you should leave the auxiliary radiator in place.

                Thanks.

leave the aux rad for the climate you live in.

For the likes of UK we can delete it for the extra intake of cool air. Wouldn't risk it in oz though

                    thanks guys...

thats what i was thinking, but i thought possibly with the thicker aluminium radiator it might be a lot more efficient to warrant removing the aux rad.

Also i noticed last night that i have slight leaking occurring around the injectors. To my surprise the injectors (im assuming are green top RS2 injectors due to the upgrade) can spin side to side a little too easily for my liking.
Now im pretty sure that isnt meant to be as i was always checking my injectors on the S4 to make sure they were not loose or leaking.

Reading through others posts i may just grab myself a handful of OEM injector seals and change them over and then see if i need to adjust the fuel rail down slightly to hold them firmer.

another thing.... behind the left hand lower grille is a cooler mounted, is that the stock oil cooler location as i tried searching but came up nothing.

                            Thanks Andy.

did you have much noise increase from it?
any reason you chose the RS2 box over the BMC type?

The noise is very noticeable not just like a cone filter trust me you won't be disappointed its like its more of a 5 cylinder

I inherited the rs box from a car I broke and as I'm running that setup it seemed logical and it's uber rare

The bmc box won't give you massive gains as you will see if you do a search in here but it's better than stock/but not better than rs if that makes sense and your link from eBay lists it at $200 ish which is cheap IMO
