    Hello - New UK Member!

    Hi, first post!

I've been lurking for a little while now, decided it's time I registered! I've found a fair few answers on posts listed on this forum, found it all very helpful.

Purchased my first Coupe one month ago. 1993 2.6 V6. High mileage at 178000 but pulls well and is a nice smooth ride for now! It was completely standard when I got it but I've painted the surround on the front grille in satin black and removed the 2.6E badge at the rear. I also have a set of 16" 7.5J Azev A wheels in silver buy yet to purchase tyres.

I need to replace cat on the nearside as the fitted one is cracked around a previous repair. There was a slight knocking up front on the 140 mile trip home, so I changed the front ARB drop links and strut top mounts which have cured that little issue.

Future plans for the car include a slight drop once the wheels are fitted, replace the blown cat (unfortunately my car requires the emissions test so I cant de-cat.) Fit a stereo that actually finds any other radio station that BBC R4! And i'm working on a Brembo brake conversion that doesnt require hub conversion to 5x112. More details on that soon!

This is my first Audi, but the car that made me want to own one was an Audi 80 2.8 V6 Quattro. I was working maintaining old VW campers and my boss at the time purchased the 80 for the motor. I had to take it for a spin before it was torn apart! That engine was due to go into a VW T25 Westfalia, but has now been replaced with a 4.2 Audi V8!

Anyway, long first post, thanks for all the info so far!

Welcome to the forum. The Azevs are a classic looking wheel and will look really good on your coupe. Pictures are mandatory on here by the way.

                Welcome,

Consider starting with one of these, in black, then silver, then red.

Good base to start from, as it has quattro, ( and a V6 ).

Get the centre console and the matching wider Audio Delta radio from a late model B4 Cabrio in a breakers.

                Kind regards.

I'll add a couple of photos of my Coupe once I've taken some. And when the V8 is back in the Westy I'll snap a couple of photos - it's out at the moment for some finishing touches to the engine bay. For the record, I can take no credit whatsoever for the work done, it's all done by my ex boss!

Rocco and Drummer - there may be pleanty of students here but I dont have time to take in the sceneary what with work and a 7 month old baby boy!

                    Cheers

                          Hi,

I had looloed into the Focus set up with the Porsche calipers, but don't fancy spending around £4-500 on a pair of calipers. I have a decent brembo caliper just finding time to offer everything up.

I work restoring classic 911s so at the end of work I just want to go home and see my son - my car has to take a back seat untill Saturdays!

Anyway, here's a photo of my Coupe. Snapped it this morning so its a tad dirty! I think its well worth the £350 I paid for it!
