      Do it.

There is so much knowledge about these cars on here now that you'll be able to do anything from a correct restoration through to a 600bhp+ track car and anything in the middle. Even with just a few mods, they're so much better than stock, so you'd be in for a treat

haha i do love the look of the coupe for sure. ive restored various other cars since i owned an S2 .. my last green one had the light beige leather and walnut dash pieces.. it was beautiful. N plate but cant for the life of me remember that reg, will have to see if Ive a pic somewhere. It was only 3/4 years old then and was mint with about 20k on the clock... wish i still had it lol !! went like a rocket for back then.

Stock S2 is in danger of being shown up by most hot hatches nowadays Chipped RS2 spec is a little less exposed though

It's how it's driven, catch them out not a chance of keeping up.

S2 chipped holds it own, an rs2 spec chipped I would like a drive in one to see the difference.

You have just described my S2! Does the reg N** GCL look familiar?

My quest to find previous owners continues... Sorry, been watching the apprentice.

Good luck with building the replica.

replica lol... its alive !! well nearly. from what the car looked like when I bought it to now is amazing . I've virtually g3'd the whole car ! was loads of surface scratches everywhere like it has been driven through a wood ! thought it would need a complete repaint but its come up well with only a few that are visable when you look close, so will deffo do for now.

fixing niggles here and there, rear opening windows and loom installed and new headlining and complete interior in. looking forward to driving it !
