    New member with a typ85 80q

    Hi, just a quick intro from me as I'll be about for a while!

    I'm not an S2 owner, nor have I previously been, but I've had several Audis in B2 and B5 form!

    My first Audi was a '99 B5 S4 in santorin blue with contrasting leather;

    Since then I came across my first classic Audi whilst working in the depths of North Wales - it was too good to let go and rare too!

    The spec was a previously restored 80q, all standard bar a retrimmed interior and bespoke stainless system. Eagle eyed members of the forum will recognise the car, as it's now in Dunstan's hands and 3B'd.

    I sold the car to fund a 106 track car, I should have found the funds elsewhere, this car was a cracker!

    Since that car I had the 5-pot quattro blues, so bought a really clean CQ;

    I sold this car and bought a well specced k04 B5 S4, that again some of you will recognise, as it belonged to Dest;

    As well as this S4, last year I bought another 80q project car, a build thread will follow when I start making more progress with it - but it will take an OEM performance route.

    That's it for now!

    Welcome Hoyle!

    Shame you sold the first 80q and the red CQ but the S4 is nice too.

    Interesting 80q you got there with the 5x112 hubs on, what's the spec?

      The current spec of the 80q is;
      '84 in alpine white, manual sunroof.
      URQ struts, hubs and shafts all round (I have S2 struts for the rear but need S2 driveshafts to match).
      S2 rear subframe, dialynx alu subframe bushes, dialynx wishbone bushes.
      80q 016 box & diff.
      H&R 30mm springs & Bilstein B6 shocks.
      Front URQ anti roll bar.
      Engine currently in the car but damaged; 2.3 NF block, KK head modified by TSR to pack C spec. (Running KK engine ready to take its place for now).
      MB twin piston front calipers (276mm) & CAC rear calipers (stock 245mm).
      VDO gauges in console.
      15x6 5x112 Ronal R8's for winter
      15x7 5x112 Ronal R8's for summer

      The current plan is to restore the car and run a standard 2144 kk motor for now, but will eventually look towards a 3B conversion, once the rest of the car is ready.

          Loving the old skool action, looks very clean. I had a B2 90q for a bit and enjoyed it for sure

              Does anyone know of a guide for the wiring for a 20vt conversion on a typ85? Just for future reference

                  Haha fair enough! I'm doing research at the moment, need to get the thing running as a 10v first!
