Newbie from Yorkshire looking for an S2

Hi,

Spent the day gemming up on info on the site as being talked into getting an S2 Avant by Rob (GT500) to replace my A6 tdi I'm currently running.

Think it must have been the grin on my face all weekend when we took his RS2 to Le Mans!

Just got to sell my A6 now and then find the right S2, but reading up on all the ways I can spend my hard-earned cash.

Hope you've got deep pockets, Rob did a hell of a lot of work on my S2. Not seen him in a while? Welcome to the forum. Don't buy the cheapest, and remember they are old cars now so things do brake often and are not very cheap to replace.

Haha, that's my worry! I wonder why a local audi specialist thinks I should get an S2!

I'll be honest with you fella, I loved the S2 to drive and that nobody knew what it was but for the amount of money I put into it rebuilding all the suspension and head plus many other things I could have bought a B5 RS4 ha ha.

That's why I've spent the day reading up on the forum! And won't be rushed into buying anything.

Of course I may yet be tempted by an 80 avant tdi! Still über-cool and I do have a trackcar for when I need to go sideways (it's that other German make).
