Found the forum whist looking to buy second car, coupes, always one of my favourite shapes. nearly bought quattrodan's 3b. Bid too low. Still looking for S2.

Agreed, anything under £3k for an S2 in that condition is a very good price. You are unlikely to find better for the money. Coupled with the fact that you need money to maintain and run them, they are not really a cheap car. Alot of fun though so welcome and hope you find what you are looking for.

Dan's car was a bargain, there was a few of us considering buying it as a second S2, had the price gone any lower I'd have had to have a look at it even though the last thing I need is another car. Had to be a reasonable investment at that sort of price if it was anywhere near as good as it looked in the advert.

There's a Silver cat C ABY Coupe in the for sale section at the moment for similar money, that may well be worth a look, may not, don't know any of the cars history but my first impression is OK.

All I can say S2's are fabulous cars and great to drive as mentioned already Dans car was a one off normally a good coupe last of the 3b's will fetch £4k for a very good one and a very good aby will fetch £5k ish even though I wouldn't sell mine for that. Good luck in your hunt

Thanks for the info. The forum was extremely useful in gleaning the right info about the car. Many of you were suggesting it was too cheap and the price had put off potential buyers. Sick not to get it ..there is a cat d green s2 for 3k ....any advice?

Yeah stay away!! A few people have looked at this and its not great

Yep, run for the hills where that green cat D is concerned, you only have to glance at the pics to see it's been painted really badly and the bumper to body gaps are horrendous. The Silver cat C looks much better, not a heck of a lot of difference between a cat C or D either.

that's what I could see, dull paint and miss aligned panel on rear offside. Silver one does look good although essex not too close to me.
