I had a tornado red 90 coupe! Totaled the sonofabitch! swapping over all my new parts annnnnd doing lifters I'm getting ready to do remote start and remote unlock omn the doors....however I'm looking into doing a key swap for a flip key from a 98 cab. Does anyone know if I sway all the cylinders if I can hook up remote lock and unlock on the flip key.....that would be soooo cool any input helps. Also getting ready to do the steering rack. Any good step by step detailed diy guides pout there with pictures

Welcome. Sorry to hear about the cq.
Yes you can you need the complete lock set inc ignition barrel, lock trims for the doors, wiring harness, sensors and central locking pump.
Don't think there is a guide on the forum, I believe mdz has done this on his 80 using C4 parts. HTH

Yep, if you can get complete central locking including wiring and ignition cylinder from that Cabrio, then it's pretty much plug&play.
And Error404 is right, I did this on my 80 using 96. C4 parts, C5 key and modified B4 wiring. Now I can remotely lock/unlock car, open boot and start car with flipblade HAA key.
After I finish what I've started, I'll check if window comfort closing/opening can be made to work too.

Will do. Actually I have started a writeup about it including as much info as I can. I don't have any pictures, but I'll do this mod for 2 other cars soon.
