At 19 I had a 1.0L 4 speed Starlet. 
Wish I'd discovered S cars at 19.
225/40/18 on a 9" rim maybe a bit too big from a clearing the suspension / wheel arch point of view. 215/40/18 might be a bit too stretched on a 9" rim.
225/40/18 with 225/40/18 will work, but this may not suit you at 19.
We've all been there.
Just sayin.... as it is a rare / nice car to have at any age.

But what I can say, even 225/40 will be a stretch, I have 18" RS6 reps 8" and I run 225/40 and alloy pokes out
For 9" 235 IMO is the minimum.
