New to S2 ownership

I was lucky that the guy I bought mine off was happy for me to take it to a friends garage and get it up on a ramp for a good poke about. Found the rear wishbone bushes were pretty tired, and the mentioned leaky front shock but that was all so I think I've been pretty lucky. Really want to get the car chipped now I've been reading about them. Is S2central still doing chips? I pm'd him a few days ago but haven't had a response yet.

Excellent stuff,and a good seller which is quite rare i would say.Was the seller just a private person having nothing to do with forums or was he on here? Sounds like you got a good one there!!

Good luck trying to contact S2 Central, i have been trying for 6 weeks or more over my diagnostic kit he put my name down for in January.Still no reply.Weird I would try PRJ might be quicker.

It was just a regular gentleman, I would say in his 60's, doubt he would be on any of the forums.

I saw there were some homefries chips in the for sale section but wasn't sure if they were the right one for my engine code, and would be a plug and play affair. As I said I phoned a local place to me who specialise in tuning vw and audi's but he did mention changing the wastegate spring which is something that I was advised against? I would really rather not fiddle with anything unnecessarily. I'll pm both this PRJ chap, and the fella in the classifieds.

Before duffelcoats S6 was sold i had a go of his with the chip in and it was awsome in my opinion. Its same engine as yours just configured slightly differently AAN as apposed to ABY because of bigger under bonnet area.He took out his ecu and posted it to romania i think it was.It came back all done,and he just fitted it back in and was very pleased with it.

Glad to hear your car came from a 60 year old who's thoughts were to look after the car rather than screw it up.Just chip yours give it regular oil changes and look after and enjoy it.

Oh i forgot....and drive it like a grandad with only the very occaisional blast,but blast with mechanical respect in mind.
