    Greeting from sunny Tucson, Arizona

Just stopping in to say hi and introduce myself.

My name is Mike and I live in Tucson, Arizona. I currently own several Audis and VWs with a couple of long term project cars.

First up is a 95 Audi Cabriolet that I am swapping in a 1.8T engine. I tried to do the swap the easy way by purchasing a set of ADR engine brackets, but found out later they would not bolt onto the 2001 A4Q engine I purchased. I had a custom Left side engine mount made, but am still researching how to keep working Air Conditioning in the car. I have already converted the car into a 5-Speed (we got auto only in the US), 5-lug wheels, Euro front and rear bumpers, and Euro headlights.

My longer term project is making a 1995 A6Q Avant into an UrS. I had a 93 UrS4 sedan that I parted out, so I have almost all the parts needed for the conversion. I plan to get a complete repaint / color change before I start installing all the UrS parts, so I have been saving money for that. Once it is repainted, I have a RS2 Exhaust manifold and turbo, 6-Speed transmission, V8 torsen rear diff, larger diameter front sway bar, complete rear subframe with sway bar, and many other misc parts waiting to be installed. I picked up a set of UrS4 Euro bumpers, so I am planning to convert the appearance of the car into an UrS4 Avant.

    Thanks for your time,
    Mike

Hey Mike. I guess they finally let you post, huh?

Sounds like interesting projects. the A6q avant to UrS4(ish) avant should be easy. Keep the vacuum brake boost, don't try to go hydraulic.

        Dave,

Yes, I am finally able to post. Thank you with the assistance.
As far as the Brake booster, I do plan to keep the Vacuum brake setup.

        Moggies,

I don't have many pictures of the project cars. The Cabrio is sitting in my driveway with most of the front end removed. The A6 is just a plain Jane Avant right now with a mostly removed interior and really bad paint.

I currently have a 96 Cabriolet (5-Speed), a 95 A6Q Sedan (5-Speed), an 01 VW Jetta, and a 15 VW Jetta Sport sitting in front of the house, as well as an 80 Rabbit Truck (Caddy) buried in my garage.

Way too many projects an never enough time or money.

            Greg,

Thank you again for the assistance.

Now I just have to hit the magic post count so I can make a Wanted post for some UrS4 front bumper and C4 Avant interior trim pieces.

                Rocco,

No, I am not near any of those cities in Arizona.
I am around 4.5 to 5 hours away from each of them.

                Mike

                    Greg,

Thank you once again for your assistance.
Unfortunately, I still get an error message when I try to make a new post in the Wanted section.
