Thanks guys, taking the car for a drive end of this week, will let you know how it goes. I believe they are rare here, I think 15 were sold new, and then a number have been imported from the UK.
haha, I am not keeping my head in the sand around costs, I have an e39 and it breaks my heart everytime I have to buy a part for it, I have a great mechanic who does cash work for me, and I'm reasonably handy myself, it's always just the price of parts that stings!!
Yea we do have some great roads, we also have some very strict police on the roads, so fun is limited unless you go to a track, or find a nice gravel road somewhere, although a lot of them are dead straight!Comment

I'd say I'm reasonably handy too like yourself, but only requiring 2 hammers and a long screwdriver and chisel should be enough tools, right? small hammer and big bertha hammer, when the going gets rusty....
