Canada is quite a big place if I recall. It would help if you said WHERE in Canada. If you did, I could probably point you to local UrS folks who will have some knowledge to help you.

You don't need an engine from an S2 or RS2. What would be way easier for you would be to start with an AAN from a 92 to 97 UrS4/S6. There are lots of those around being dismantled and an AAN and ECU and engine harness would be way easier (and cheaper) to start with than S2 and RS2 stuff that will require importation from Europe (costly).

I have lots of resources to help you understand the AAN (the S2 ABY and RS2 ADU are the same except for the intake system).

The AAN is not the same thing as RS2? what is the difference?

          thanks.

speaking as someone in north america who has built an S2. I would highly recommend buying one. You are in Canada and they are completely legal to import. Import one, you'll save a lot of money, time, and have a more valuable car at the end of the day.

Buy an UrS6, it's a better car and cheaper in the long run.

It'll be an easier road to follow.

If it has to be an S2, importing one would be the less arduous route if a little dearer, but as mentioned, more valuable. i.e. the real deal.

Not that hard then to go up to RS2 spec in terms of turbo, suspension and brakes, and then seats.

Just my tuppence.............from an older duffer.

                Best wishes.

I will send you a Private Mesage here with my email address. Email me and I will get you in touch with some UrS folks in Montreal. (I am not sure if I have any contacts in Quebec City).

The only internal differences between the AAN in the UrS4s and UrS6s and the ADU in the RS2 was the rod bearings and the exhaust cam, otherwise the same. Now the replacement rod bearings for the AAN is the ADU rod bearings. You can install an RS2 exhaust cam in an AAN head (intake cams are the same).

Externally the intake systems are entirely different because of the radiator situation in the B3.S4 S2 and RS2 (side-mount radiators versus your V6 center mount). Also the RS2 used and uprated exhaust manifold and bigger turbo(K24-7200), both of which bolt on to an AAN. (my 93 UrS4 is completely RS2'd and, with aftermarket software (boost and fuel/timing chip set) makes around 360 crank hp.

I have to agree... you will spend ton more trying to convert a car and still not have the original. Import one from Europe and enjoy!

Import a late model C4 with the oem 4.2L V8 and in S6+ spec.

You can always fit a Rotrex supercharger to it if the 340bhp is not quick enough.

I'd import one if I didn't need it to be RHD.

                        HTH.

Hey there, welcome to the forum (even if I'm kinda new here too).

                          I'm from Ottawa (well »Gatineau - Quebec side ;p)
I just bought a Coupe Quattro with a 3B engine in it.

If I'd have the money, like they all say, I'd bring a genuine S2 to the country.

Shipping can be done for around 1500$ with a "roll on - roll off" shipping freight and port. Though, that's just "what I heard".

If not, I currently have a full AAN kit to put in a Coupe B3. All you need to do a swap:
Intake, exhasut manifold, turbo, intake, vacuum lines, intake hoses, wiring harness, EVERY-THING. (don't know if you'd need a transmission for a swap when the original car is V6 though ?)

I'd have it for sale since I bought the coupe with the 3B. Let me know.

I may also have a 1990 Coupe Quattro to sell as well (the project car) - (though I know you already have you're '95 quattro).

Also, do you know David Morisette in Qc City ? He "collects" the Coupe and actually done like 8-10 AAN swaps in them (as he claims). He does rally with those ;p.

He's been helpful and if you like I could ask him to put you in contact ?

                          Cheers

meh i've owned several c4s, they are like driving my living room sofa. they are comfortable, and they cruise nice, but they don't have the same feeling or excitement of driving a smaller b series chassis. Plus the c4s are readily available here, no need to import, if he wanted to go that route, he probably would have.
