Hi from a new RS2 owner

    Hi

Thought I should just take a moment to say hello.
I have just purchased an RS2, what a blast from the past ! It needs a little love but should turn out to be a nice car. Its running and driving but has a leaking steering rack.
I am aiming to go right through the car fixing and replacing what ever it needs.
Any pointers on parts suppliers would be great.

So you bought a Dutch car or are you from Holland?

to the forum, it's where I made the step towards my RS2 and a lot of help and assistance on here too, be very patient and log into https://trshop.audi.com but at the moment is down for upgrades or something. Need pretty deep pockets for AT but worth it when the brand new parts arrive
Good luck indeed with going through your car and replacing or repairing items, make a list and of course pictures everybody loves pictures on here. I have done some work myself on mine and finding your way around these fantastic cars is fun and just getting into the nitty gritty and see how easy it can be will give you satisfaction. Mine's a leftie too...

to our world of nice cars and no money

I am doing a full refurb of my RS2 also, what ever you do do not set yourself a budget as you will be short maybe only buy a couple of million but you will be short even if you think have done your sums right

No seriously they do cost a small fortune to get right but all the hard work will be worth it I am a bit **** about having things right and I am spending lots of money on parts.

Stripping them and powder coating them, one term you will get used to is NLA

But there are some real good helpful people on here some of them know the cars better than Audi.

Oh! takes lots of pictures not just for us but it will help when rebuilding.

I have taken lots of pictures and believe me it has helped on the rebuild

                  Good luck with your rebuild

                  John

Welcome. It seems to be standard procedure now that RS2's are 20 years old, regardless of the milage, everything will be due a refresh. You've got to really want to own an RS2 these days. I thoroughly went through mine last year, as John says above, it'll go through money like a drunk through a curry and that was before everything went NLA.

Welcome, and I'd reiterate all of the above points, never ceases to stun me how shiny cars are on top and even inside and how rusty they are underneath.

Anyway just to add, do not throw out any old part your replace, you never know how or when they will come in handy, as these cars and their parts are getting less and less common / easily available.

                          Await further photos.

                          Thanks.
