Hi folks, I joined a while back but something didn't quite work re activation so I never said hello.
That seems to be sorted today - thank you to whoever did that.

I drive a D2 S8 and have done since 2002. I'm on my second one. A picture of the two together is attached (hopefully!).
As an "oldie" I have plenty of time to attend various meets and know a number of people in other groups including AusiSRS and RS246 so it seemed natural to join here and meet more "family members" as I've seen plenty of your cars at various events.

A bit of information about my S8's.

The old (pre-facelift) one was quite special, it was used by Audi at the UK launch of the S8 and had a very high specification. It was actually easier to list the extras it didn't have - of the ridiculously long list you could choose from it was missing 5 items and one of those was a tow bar! I was the second owner after Audi and kept it for about 11 years.

The current (facelift) one was one of the very last D2's made (in 2002) and was actually first registered in 2003 though it is NOT one of the "Final Edition" models. It's actually green - Irish Green Pearl which looks great in the sun.
It has a high-spec interior in sand/beige with full leather/alcantara though (oddly) only has the standard sound sytem, not Bose. Bit of a shame, my old one had Bose which is better.
Usual RNS-D navigation, rear blinds, powered rear seat lumbar and headrests. Heated seats all round. Dimming mirrors though the external ones now have standard tinted glass which I actually prefer. I retrofitted the ski hatch which is actually a very simple job on the facelift model (much trickier on PF).
I have a set of the FE 20" 9-spoke alloys for summer use with Michelin Pilot Super Sports tyres, the original 18" facelift Avus wheels are now on the car with winter tyres.

Before acquiring the 20's I had two sets of 18" Avus wheels to cover summer and winter - one pre-facelift (original and IMHO better looking) and one facelift that came with the car from the factory. The PF ones are now in the "For Sale" section (thanks Ian_c) as I believe they are of interest to S2 owners.
