New boy looking around

Hello guys,

Found this forum about a year ago, there seems to be a good community and very interesting projects!
I myself am 18 years old with my license about a year now...
I have already done a track day! So awesome.
I am now studying Mechanical engineering for a year and it's soo awesome
I realy like cars and realy want to have a car myself and wrench on it myself

And now the car part...
I was already looking for cars about 2 years ago, and now it's time to buy a car for myself. I am very interested in a old Audi coupe typ 89.
My dad worked that time in a Audi dealership as mechanic. So I trust him that he can help me a hand when needed.

Now is the time I ask if you guys have any advice about these Audi's (must know items?)
(I have already read most of the (newer) topic's on this)

I've done a few laps on the TT circuit as well, what car have you been around in?

@quattrostyle I have been with TTraceworld, so thats is a BMW E30 325i and the Toyota Aygo. The BMW was awesome with the gearbox feel and the Toyota was door light
I live nearby the TT circuit, its around the corner so I definitely plan in ging more

Welcome to the forum you will find loads of helpful people on hear and some really good projects, it is also a good source for parts and lots of information.

I have just got back from Holland 4 weeks ago I go a couple of time's a year I usually stay just outside Assen in the Abdij de Westerburcht hotel (fantastic Steaks) & also a really good Chinese Restaurant opposite I was sat outside the track on Sunday morning seeing if there was anything on as I had most of the day spare.

Hope you get the car you want and post lots of pictures on the forum.
