Another Newbie

Hi Everyone
I am from South Africa, now living and working in Oman.
Was working in the motor-sport industry for many years.
Looked after a Quattro Sport for one year in the South African Rally Championship before they were banned.
I've always wanted a S1 of my own and may now be in a position to build a reproduction.
So I'll be perusing the forum for info and asking many questions.

Yep the Group B cars were also banned in South Africa at the end of 1988 due to cost. They tried to make it cheaper by introducing less advanced cars. Rallying was never the same again. :-(
