Vagparts HID kit

I fitted mine today. I had to position the 2 high voltage transformers on the same side on a bracket, as I don't have room for one on the turbo side. I also couldn't fit them in the recommended place as I have other stuff there already.

I'd put it off for a couple of weeks as I thought it took a few hours to fit them - probably only 1.5 hours to do mine.

Very impressed with how they look - just waiting for the PIAA main beam bulbs and sidelights - to try and get a good colour match and better main beam light.

Doug - please let us know how the PIAA xenon wannabee bulbs look and perform. I've seen the sidelights on Martyns car, but have been putting off investing silly money in the main beam bulbs until I know what they at least look like.

What price did you get the PIAA super-white H1s for ?

I'm getting the Xtreme White bulbs - which are what Martyn has as his sidelights.

I think they were £57+vat and £8+vat - I am getting them form www.hid-uk.com (I'll check that later) - Graham Goode do online ordering but they didn't have any in stock.

I'll do some before and after pics with the high beam bulbs.

Dont get the 4000K ones, there crap. Tried some in mine and they were awful. The whiter ones may be better.

The "PIAA Xtreme White H1" bulbs are crap - I think I had cheapo H1s in the car before and no difference - still an off white colour.

The "PIAA Xtreme White Wedge" look good though

She's not my wife - just live together - can't afford a wedding - more important stuff to spend the cash on She likes the car as much as me and although she doesn't like me spending the cas, she likes the end results
