  • H&R's for Coupe

For those who have already fitted them.

Do these look like the right springs for the coupe?

        Anyone know? Cheers.

Could it be they are diff spring rates for colours.

Do the spring shapes look right also?

I don't know if H&R does it different way than others, but shouldn't those front and rear springs have about the same shape? Standard one's do and my Konis do and actually that Koni kit has four similar springs (same part number all four springs). Front and rear struts are about the same, so I wonder if those two with smaller diameter even fit the standard strut...

I agree with JariP - When I got mine I had to check the numbers to see what were the front and rear ones as they are very similar - only a cm or so(can't quite remember) difference in height off the car.

They are definitely the wrong ones for a coupe.
Mine were the same shape front and rear, only the rear ones were slightly shorter.
They look like avant ones to me.

I got mine from AMD and they were a special order from the factory shipped direct as the springs come off a H&R kit rather than specified in any catalogue as just springs on their own for the S2. Only the RS2, 80/90 Quattro and S2 Avant are listed if i remember correctly. Mine are blue too and were £239 inc vat and delivery if you want some kind of price guide....

Those think ones greg look like they would fit over a shock rather than a strut insert....

                        Cheers,

How much did your springs drop the car? Be interested to hear from anyone on that.

                            link to thread

Look at the pics on this thread - top pic is standard suspension, middle pic is H&R/koni suspension.

When I got mine AMD were a lot more expensive the Quattrosports - and QST usually have them in stock.

                              Cheers Doug,

Nothing could say it better than those pics. I think the ride height with the H&R's looks Gr8. Getting rid of that empty space between the tire and the wheel arch somehow gives the car a cleaner line. Subtle but definately an improvement.
