I am wanting to convert my pos & coil setup to rs4 coils. I've got 5 coils lined up and can get the wiring loom that belongs to them no problem - does anyone know if the (wiring) plugs are available to save me butchering the old looms?
    Also anybody got a pin diagram of these parts - 07k 905 715 d

Cheer for that guys - very helpful.

Mk111 Jettas are thin on the ground here, anyone know offhand what other (uk) cars carry the same taillight connector? Bora? Golf?.

I guess 07K 905 715 D is an updated version of 06B 905 115 L coils, can anybody confirm this? Also I'm going to assume the pinout and connector shape is the same unless anybody knows otherwise.

I can also obtain the original audi loom c/w connectors, do you reckon re-using the audi connectors with cut and re-soldered wiring might be a better/ more reliable/ more waterproof solution?

As an afterthought, i could probably figure out if pin 3 on the audi coils is the ecu input from the original looms.

You've missed a few things. The Jetta III connector (trans-sexed) was my first attempt (still working BTW - waterproofed with red RTV silicone). You missed reading the update that suggested that a Volvo four pin connector was the way to go:

Here is an invoice with the required PNs:

Always get the latest version of the coil pack, whatever that is. There are also red ones from the 4.2L V8 that fit.

When I did the very first conversion, I bought the five four pin coil connectors from a dealer along with pins that came with pigtails (wire). I had to splice and solder these with additional lengths of wire. I used heat shrink over the soldered joints. Still going almost 6 years later.

BTW you can buy complete plug and play kits from Apikol:

The 3- and 4-pin connectors partnumbers is writed above. Don't know about the coil connectors, I used 1 and a half 1.8T coil harness for my build...

                        The coil part numbers is:

                        07K905715F for black 2.5TFSI coils

                        06E905115E for "RED" ones

Both coils are practically the same, color is different. The red ones sure look like pro.
