  • no oil pressure after engine rebuilt

I have rebuilt 3b engine with 7a head. At first start engine ran without any scary noises, but no oil pressure in the block (in oil pressure sender place) - 0bar (mechanic gauge also)! Oil pressure is good in the turbo inlet. What could be the problem?

Oil thermostat open a bore only to the oil radiator? could it close a bore to the block if it was installed wrong? I don't know what is wrong and I really won't to disassemble an engine again..

          Yes, you can.
But check iff the engine is ok than replace as you will loose oil from the head during startup.
          Hope the engine is ok.
          Regards!

4.5bar on cold. I think it is too low...

Is ok...maibe the oil pressure relief valve is set a little low. no rattles?
No noises? Check with engine warm.

Sounds a little low for a cold start, what oil are you using?

That valve must have an affect on oil pressure, I'd get a new one ASAP

i would expect to see good 5 BAR on cold start

The gauge should be maxed, I'm sure it goes to around 6bar cold.

I use stack mechanic gauge. I won't warp up it long because I am not connected water. I just keep 1.30min engine running and it sounds without any noises and oil pressure showed 4bar at 1000rpm in the and. It is really low I think. Does the oil pressure valve increase a pressure?

I don't know for certain, but I'm pretty sure it will

The pressure sensors are after the valve into the head path. I am pretty sure that the valve will not increase the oil pressure reading from those 2 sensors.
I think you should fit the water radiators and run the engine till normal running temps and check then.
                              What oil you use?
