    If it's OEM Audi then the price is pretty realistic. Most of the OEM stuff is pure robbery. I dished out 75 euro for OEM cam chain.

            You're thinking 7A or 3B. RS2 = 150

            OE (if available - rumoured to be NLA):

            AAN and ABY = 054109119H 151 tooth timing belt. (151 Z in Katespeak)
            NM,7A and 3B = 054109119G "toothed belt" 147 teeth (not 151 for the 3B)
            RS2 = 034109119C = 150 teeth according to the photo (not 148 as I once thought)

              I've contacted Gates to see if they can shed any light on the matter but for now, it's looking like Audi Tradition, or Quattro Corner have been mentioned.

                  I can't see it hurting using an ABY belt to be honest, as long at there is enough range on the tensioner to work correctly, its the relationship between the teeth on the sprockets that matters.
                  Sure it may affect the cam timing a tad - but I have the RS2 water pump and cambelt on mine and due to the smaller water pump pulley it pulls the cam timing off half a tooth to the left as is well documented - maybe a couple of degrees of retard on ABY cams? This doesn't seem to cause any measurable change in performance. In theory it will shift the power band slightly higher up the rev range.

                    Sorry. Was it your's originally? If so, I should label it as such.

                    I don't honestly remember where I got it (here?). I know I first used it here:

                      I'm having a chat with Gates, so watch this space...

                      I did wonder about using an S2 one but I'd shoot myself if anything happened that may be down to that tiny difference after all this extra work!

                      Sourced one in the UK for £60, so more than I'd like but that's life...
