    I really don't understand the need for the RS2 water pump and cambelt setup and all the associated timing problems that this forum is littered with.
    I'm sure there are plenty of crazy Scandinavians with 800+Hp using stock ABY or 3B setups.
    Your engine won't melt.

      Don't really disagree other than the 3B comment. A RS2 ADU could certainly run a 29 tooth AAN or ABY water pump and 151 toothed cam belt without any noticeable issues. Timing would be normal (no 1/2 tooth off BS). But the 3B used a different water pump all together.

      Front of a 3B which used the water pump as the belt tensioner:

        Rs2 cambelt

        Hi the rs2 cambelt can be obtained from Nissan .... It is the same can belt for the Nissan 180sx turbo, 1994.

          Yes I know that Dave, what I was getting at was the stock setup copes fine on modified cars, I didn't mean fitting an RS2 pump on a 3B.

                Thats not correct. The Gates 5269XS is 151tooth and for the ABY / Nissan 180sx not RS2, or if you are looking for the reinforced one its Gates T137R

                    Does anyone have a UK source for the T137R?

                      I wasn't worried about that. I thought you were suggesting that a 3B water pump would work fine on an RS2 ADU.

                        OE (if available - rumoured to be NLA):

                        AAN and ABY = 054109119H 151 tooth timing belt. (151 Z in Katespeak)
                        NM,7A and 3B = 054109119G "toothed belt" 147 teeth (not 151 for the 3B)
                        RS2 = 034109119C = 150 teeth according to the photo (not 148 as I once thought)

                        After Market:

                        Gates PowerGrip 5269XS (151 tooth x 19 mm wide) (presumably the same as the OE product, just in a different package):
