Apparently he didn't have the correct stuff there at the time to enable him to real time re-map.

Wish he would have told me that before I went on Saturday as I would have asked to re-book.

    Thanks for the info people
Sounds a bit more like it.... Its quite fortunate you don't have 100's of miles to drive, imagine if you had driven down from Scotland, or over from Ireland, etc...
Good luck with the re-book, I am sure it will be worthwhile, but a little confusing as to why they let you take the car there prior to getting the "correct equipment....!"
    Have fun
    Chris

Oh, and don't forget to use 98 Octane....!

It's a 200 mile round trip for me so it's £50.00 down the drain

I agree, I think there should be some kind of compensation for this.... but honestly, I also think this should be discussed between MRC and Mr. Smog.....
Still, another nice day out, but I would be a bit cheesed off myself....

Well - Had an afternoon @ MRC again today to try and iron out the hesitation problem.
The reason it wasn't mapped using the emulated ECU was because it wasn't on site. I can only think Mineha has it with him wherever he is?
The car, up the hill, was hesitating at around 3000RPM on boost and after discounting a few items such as: RV, Coil amps & Air filter and after numerous run's, tweeks, run's tweeks etc, Doug came to the conclusion it was timing and fuel mixture that was causing the problem. He could see a dip in the timing, on the VAG-COM graphs, when the hesitation occured.
After the fitment of the air/fuel mixture reading device thingy that fits into the lambda sensor hole and few more tweeks, Doug had it sorted.

              Smooth as a bairns ****!

5th gear up the hill from 2000RPM at the bottom off of the roundabout - to the sign (on my final trip up the hill on the way home) was 123MPH on the clock.

Thank you again Doug for your help

Aah, sounds like you got it sorted this time, nice one!
So, that terminal speed, you were pulling away from the roundabout in 5th? I'm impressed, that's lots of torque and grunt there!
