Just spoken to the police, they think its been involved in a RTA, which caused the car to catch fire.

All abit sketchy at present.

I think the unanswered potential buyers were well involved, thats the way they work. The thiefs use the trader as a tool, find the exact car they want, find out what security it has so they know what they have to do/take and then get the address easy as that.

They must have still been well prepared as all rs's have the immo in the ecu!

Really worrying though as I also have to sell mine, and this is too close to home.

Best Bet is to make sure you have an expensive Clifford alarm or similliar......and make it clear in any advert that thieves will be shot

or// just that the car has great security and request a home landline telephone number from ALL buyers to make sure they are genuine

If they are they wont mind giving it....if they are thieving scum they will mind and will hang up mumbling

IMHO they will not bother to go after a top of the range Clifford protected car because it is a bridge too far for all but the very BEST theiving scum
