  • RS2 cam pulley, camshaft. Question

    Hi,
engine in my RS2 was rebuilt but i have troubles with idle. https://youtu.be/AfVgNEXuX-U https://youtu.be/uqtBXBDgeHI (Hard to get it on camera)
I am running ABY timing belt and water pump
From the beginning, when I bought it, it had a timing pulley without the "b" mark
When i set the crank pulley to the marks, mark at cam shaft pulley hit the mark on valve cover BUT camshaft dots looks like this:
    "IMG-2161.jpg
    "IMG-2151.jpg
    IMG-2159.jpg
    IMG-2146.jpg

When i set camshaft dots to be aligned it looks like this:
    IMG-2165.jpg
In this situation marks at camshaft, crank pulley are moved to the right:

My question is what i need to do to get my timing right ?
    - Buy RS2 cam pulley with "B" stamp ? or stay with normal pulley because i am using ABY timing kit ?
    - align cam shafts ?
    - Stay with ABY timing belt and pump ? or change to RS2 ones ?

    Thank you for advices
    Lukas

I think you have put the intake camshaft one tooth wrong on the chain.

I did that misstake. If you are running all ABY stuff everything should line up correct. In your first pictures all seems good, except for the marking on the inlet camshaft.

This is how your camshaft markings should look like. 45764-86bf3eacfe77dcf23947aabc16efc42a.jpg

                Summarizing:
When i am running ABY cam pulley i have timing like normal S2 no change to opening and closing points ?
When i am running ADU cam pulley even with ABY timing kit i have 10 degrees change in timing due to changes in pulley ? i am setting timing on marks because of 29 teeth water pump ?
When i am running fully ADU set i have 10 degrees change in timing and i need to go half tooth of the mark on cam pulley because of 26 teeth water pump ?
