  • Space between chassis and turbine housing

Hi Everyone, i’m building a setup on my rs2 with a Wagner EM and a gtx30 gen2 0.82 A/R turbine housing. What is the minimum distance you need between chassisleg and turbine housing? Maybe some pictures from builds? Thanks a lot.

There is quite a few on project threads of similar builds. If you are tight for clearance you can pack up the engine mount a bit with some washers to get a bit of extra clearance if you are making a custom exhaust as well.

Hi Greg, thanks for your reply. I packed up the engine mount allready 15mm. So I have some clearance between the chassisleg and the turbo.
+/-15mm. I don't know if this is enough. So thats why I asked the question. ;-)

I have a GT 3071 on a Wagner RS2 EM, it's pretty close, probably less than 10mm, never been a problem (although I don't launch the car;-)
I did fit new OEM engine mounts at the same time.

That is very snug, on mine I don’t have a separate waste gate pipe and followed a similar routing to the stock exhaust manifold so the exhaust has more clearance on the downpipe section.
