also dialynx kit is from a rally car and not the road going version.

I didn't realise that. What are the differences? They must be subtle?

Had a quick look a pics I had on file and the indent in the rear arch is the first most obvious difference.

whether or not it has the correct angle windscreen or not it will always be a replica,the main goal is to lose weight and give the chassis more strength as well as make it more responsive in corners..

Yep, that's it, the Dialynx wings are the same as the rally SWB cars.



The (genuine SWB) road cars had the indent at the bottom.




Also, it's quite interesting to look at the C pillar angles, the screen rake is only half the issue.

Ok, so what sort of money for a SWB conversion? Looks like I'm getting another quattro soon possibly (maybe at 7.30 if all goes well), but I'm not sure whats happening. I'd love to own a SWB quattro one day as I think they are the coolest things ever!

i built mine several years back for about 6k,that was including 3b engine and 016 box the donor shell,panels were about 1800 quid from dialynx,although i got kevlar rear quarters from a guy in manchester,sold it as an unfinished project,im thinking of building another next year
