    http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/ow...ge_scheme.html

Yes indeed peoples, they'd like you to register your interest for scrapping their old models for new ones.

Nothing like protecting their heritage is there......t*ssers

If we has a system similar to the one in germany it would make them all worth a minimum of ~£2k though

Well I for one am going to use this as a way to register my opinion - with fake personal info - but a nice way to have their IT systems capture some alternative opinion to this ******** car scrappage shyte. All done under the so called green agenda - and that newer cars are safer. Its only to incentivise those sad ****wits who need to fulfill some pathetic urge of having a new registration plate on the driveway every year because (a) their knowledge of car maintenance extends only to where you fill it up with fuel and (b) to keep up with the Jones'ss... **** that.

we need to compile vids of owners and cars around the World expressing their gripes with Audi's handling of heritage autos and throw that on YOUTUBE

can't tell you how much seeing that has pi*sed me off tonight....as Darren say's that seals their opinion on supporting cars such as these. You sink pretty low when you start linking off ebay against keywords like RS2 to register interest for scapping a car, of which on 180 ever existed in RHD form.

I do wonder whether that should instigate a formal letter from this forum to Audi UK to seek assurances that they are not turning up as ADI showing off their collection just to rub the publics nose in their collection and fundamentally failing to recognise or support owners that keep their brand heritage alive, against the flow of Audi policy.

Got the right hump with this. I posted this on the form... Whether any human at Audi UK will ever read it - or give a flying **** is another matter.

Un-bloody-believable ....but everything you would expect from the manufacturers who don't give a stuff about the realities of the environment, happy to throw away old cars and build thousands of new ones for no ferkin reason at all ....I heard the news earlier this year about new car sales in one month this year and they were moaning at the drop off ...but the numbers were startling anyway ....this makes my blood boil as much as the Essex council which considered potholes as a traffic calming measure...

I sat for a moment and thought about writing something official and formal by way of complaint to Audi UK and AG about this - but then I decided it will be a waste of ink - and my energy. All they are worried about is the bottom line - money... And they make much more of that selling new cars and maintaining currently supported product. Looking after the old timers is only an issue of morals, heritage and customer car - something that generates a lot less money and a lot more headaches for Audi - so our cars are destined to be cast off and ignored by the factory I fear.

So all we can do is look after ourselves boys (and girls) - acrue as many spare parts as you can afford or have space for because Audi doesn't care about us. Its the self preservation society.

I was telling a guy today that if I ever made a ton of cash out of this startup I work for that I'd love to order an Audi R8. But you know - I ****ing won't - they can go swivel for it. Some other mug can buy it - I'd sooner put that sort of silly money into a Ferrari (at risk of looking like a ****) or an Aston (potentially looking like a property developer)... Ahhh Ferrari then - at least they will look after me. I know a guy with a 1970 something 512BB and he can still get parts from Maranello and their official channels. THAT is heritage... THAT is giving a ****.

We've seen this coming for long enough really ...the way we all get treated by stealers which leads us not to return to stealers, and now the way we get treated by the manufacturer...

Right. It seems that plenty of others feel the same way I do about Audi's appaling attitude towards us, the enthusiastic owners of Audi's heritage. Other manufacturers like Ford, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche don't have this retarded mental block when it comes to supporting those who spend huge amounts of personal time, money and exertion to keep their prize possessions on the road and in a condition that they left the factory, or better. We need to unite all the Audi web forums and continue to alert Audi to their misguided attitude until Audi realise the error of their ways and begin to listen to our collective demands.

We need the email address of Audi UK, a collective mission statement and numbers. It might take days, weeks or years but action is required now. I refer you all the The Shawshank Redemption

If everyone who feels strongly about this emailed Audi once a week from now on then they would find it difficult to ignore us.

Secondly, when we visit shows, when we visit our dealers, speak to them, ask why parts are no longer available when other manufacturers do not have this problem or have routines in place to address them.

If we, the Audi heritage enthusiasts make ourselves heard then we stand a chance of getting our wish for support and parts!

One last thing, Audi, as part of VW, are now mostly owned by Porche, a two pronged attack perhaps?

Audi brothers and sisters unite in the heritage revolution!

                            Cheers'en, AndyC
