Intercooler should be swapped as well when going to RS2 power levels imo.
Also, Jamo is right. Fitting a proper exhaust manifold does wonders for spoolup time.

I have a bit different car, but by fitting a proper manifold my turbo started spooling 400rpm earlier...
Full boost in 2nd gear by 3000-3100 instead of 3400-3500, makes it more responsive down low as well.

I added the quote to clear it up but you must have missed that. Si had remap on his to do list, I added some other things.

Also Si, you'll want to look at the fuel pump and regulator depending on how high you go.

So an RS2 EM would be a good starting point then?
You might leave the S2 fold every so often - but you'll always come back!

          Price progression:
          1. Ebay RS2 replica (cheapest, 180 pounds or so)
          2. Used RS2 manifold
          3. Wagner tubular, but probably better to use a cast manifold...
          4. Wagner cast

Unless you're planning to run over RS2 power levels or have lots of money, I don't see the use of getting 3 or 4.
I run an ebay replica myself, as do lots of people over here and none of us have had issues with them cracking...
