For anyone interested in what happened to the auctioned car - here's a brief run down on the repair of the rear-ended bus I bought earlier in the year. I have posted a few pics - the damaged car, as it arrived in the back of a truck, the donor wagon minus the required panels, repairs showing new panels in place and finally the car just back from the painters yesterday. It's been a slow process getting this far. Had to wait a few months for bumper etc to arrive from AudiTradition. But hopefully it is in the final straight now. Original damage wasn't as bad as first thought - and the panel beater has done a great job on the rear end rebuild. It has also been an interesting journey discovering the number of parts that are NLA - something, I am sure, most owners know already. Will post more images once it is back together. Its been a long time coming - I have yet to drive the car!

Hi Pixo,
I for one was wondering for sure.
Good save of an RS2.
Thanks for sharing the photos.
While stating the obvious, bet you loved Audi Tradition, their web site, and their prices.
Whatever about their prices, they've no justification for their web site.
Enjoy the car nonetheless.

RS2 finally finished and back on the road. Car has been serviced, and certified (needed new discs and fogs). And had its first proper drive today up through Central Otago to St Bathans. Ran faultlessly. Very happy with end result. Next job is the cambelt!Attached FilesComment

Hi Pixo,
Perfect to see it back on the road again. And very good job indeed. Good to hear it wasn't that "bad" after all.
Kind regards
