    Borrow/try out a MAF in Hampshire/Surrey area

As above, is there anyone close to alton/farnham area that has a spare working ABY Maf i can try try out on my car.

Shes coughing and spluttering and was showing up code 00537. Tried all that previous posts that pointed to possible air leaks in system. Ive changed the FPR. Seems to be overfuelling as plugs are black and sooty.

If i can prove its the MAF it will make it easier forking out the money for a new one :-)

    Cheers, Brian

Or get your ECU converted to prjmod and you don't have to run a MAF at all.
Sounds like an air leak though between turbo and TB.

Brian, have you tried a proper boost test with bungs and a bar of air?

Also, have you checked the connector as they corrode?

I have a spare MAF you can borrow. Can send it over if you need? PM me.

Cheers for all your offers.... i managed to borrow a MAF and it has sorted out the issue.

I'd done a boost check and replaced the connectors for the maf, replaced the fuel pump relay and the fuel pressure reg. Also bought a fuel pump, but i dont mind as i now have a few spares for the future :-)

With regard to replacing my failed maf i have two numbers, 0 280 213 007 bosch p/n and 0 986 280 137 for service exchange. Has anyone had any success getting a 034 133 471 K from audi?
